The Bagri Foundation is pleased to support Mone Rekho, a concert by Soumik Datta, an Aga Khan Music Award-winning composer and sarod player.
This immersive performance explores the transformation of Indian music through memory, using spatial audio technology to create an interactive sonic environment. Soumik’s inspiration came from conversations with elderly individuals in care homes, leading him to revisit his own childhood memories. The concert takes the audience on a journey through personal and collective memories, reflecting on the challenges faced by artists and listeners across generations. Mone Rekho pays tribute to Indian music’s past, present, and future while delving into human experiences of memory, identity, and creativity.
