London Indian Film Festival 2022

23 June – 3 July

Project description

The Bagri Foundation is proud to support for the eighth consecutive year the Blue Orchid Hotels London Indian Film Festival (LIFF) which showcases a new and exciting selection of cutting-edge independent films including UK premieres of short films, features and documentaries. The festival is now Europe’s largest platform for Indian and South Asian independent cinema.

This year we are back to the big screen! We continue our ongoing support of the Blue Orchid Hotels London Indian Film Festival. The Bagri Foundation is supporting various strands, including Extra-Ordinary Lives, a selection of films that show glimpses of real life in the subcontinent and Asian diaspora, which are sometimes challenging, sometimes feel good, even comic, but always compelling. In parallel Brit-Asian Shorts, provides us a chance to see the work of exciting and diverse emerging filmmakers from across the UK. Finally, we are sponsoring inspiring masterclasses imparted by amazing female talent, including award-winning actor Konkana Sen Sharma, daughter of Aparna Sen, talented actor director Nandita Das, and actress Taapsee Pannu.
