Join the Bagri Foundation for our latest online series The Bottom Drawer. Featuring interviews with guest writers to discuss their early efforts and inspiration. On 15 October, we speak with poets and writers Will Harris and Nina Mingya Powles – shared via Instagram, Youtube and Facebook from 2pm BST. Harris and Powles will be in conversation exploring questions around their own work and what inspires them.

Biographies

Will Harris is a writer and editor from London. His poems and essays have been published in the TLS, The Guardian, PAIN and the LRB. He received a Poetry Fellowship from the Arts Foundation in 2019 and co-edited the Spring 2020 issue of The Poetry Review with Mary Jean Chan. His debut poetry collection RENDANG (UK: Granta; US: Wesleyan University Press) is a Poetry Book Society Choice and shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection 2020. willjharris.com

 

Nina Mingya Powles is a writer and zinemaker from New Zealand, living in London. She is the author of a set of poetry pamphlets titled Luminescent, and a food memoir, Tiny Moons. In 2019 she founded the small press Bitter Melon, which publishes limited edition poetry pamphlets by Asian diaspora writers. Her debut poetry collection, Magnolia 木蘭, is shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection 2020. www.ninapowles.com
