The Bagri Foundation is proud to support the new Bagri Foundation Scholarship for talented musicians from Asia for two years of postgraduate study at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
The scholarship enables talented young musicians from Asia to undertake two years of postgraduate training at our Faculty of Music of the London’s Creative Conservatoire Trinity Laban from September 2020.
The gift reflects the Bagri Foundation’s mission to encourage emerging artists to develop their work, especially those who need extra support to raise their level of artistic practice. The scholarship is designed to provide an opportunity to individuals who would not otherwise be able to study in the UK without financial support.
Supported Scholars:
Anuvrat Choudhary (India) – Bagri Foundation Scholar 2020-21. Pianist Anuvrat developed a keen interest in the philosophy of music through his undergraduate studies in Philosophy at Ashoka University in Haryrana, India. He was selected as Young Musician of the Year 2019 by Mumbai-based Olga and Jules Crean Foundation, allowing him to perform as a soloist at concerts across India and train with noted pedagogue and pianist, Graham Fitch. He hopes to continue exploring his interests in performance, teaching and philosophy during his postgraduate studies to add a fresh perspective to the performance and interpretation of musical works.
Alina Pritulenko (Uzbekistan) – Bagri Foundation Scholar 2021-22. Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Alina began playing the piano at the age of five. She started performing from the age of seven at numerous concerts and festivals. Actively took part in many masterclasses and soon became a laureate of the International Competitions such as “Le Muse” in Napoli, Italy and “Iste’dod” in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. In 2008, Alina started her musical education at the Republican Specialized Academic Lyceum of Music named after V. Uspensky. During eleven years of education she studied with professors Irina Arustamova and Umarova Gulnora. After successful graduation from Uspensky’s Lyceum in all musical subjects, in 2019, she was invited to continue her education at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and was awarded “Alfred and Therese Kitchen” and “Trinity College London” full scholarships and currently studying with the Head of Keyboard Department professor Sergio De Simone.

Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance is the UK’s only Conservatoire of music and contemporary dance. In 2005, Trinity College of Music and Laban – leading centres of music and contemporary dance – came together to form Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, creating exciting opportunities for collaboration between musicians, composers, dancers and choreographers.
